Preaction Sprinkler Systems: These systems are similar to dominant systems. The sprinkler in this system has heat sensitive elements. The control valve in deluge systems acts as a pre-actuating valve. When the fire detection system is activated, the valve opens. The pipe is filled with water and the system turns into a wet pipe sprinkler system. The system can be operated with single locking and double locking. It is more difficult to install than other systems. There is air or nitrogen between the control valve and the sprinkler head. There is an accelerator on the valve. In sensitive locations, both locking and double-locking system are used in case of mechanical sensitivity to heat. Thus, if the sprinkler head is broken apart from the fire, the system will not be activated and the water will be empty.
